I’m wrapping up the end of my first week of the two-week trial subscription with Netflix, and I have to say, I’m impressed.

(1) They promised a one-business-day order delivery time, and they’re on their game! Let’s say you return their video to them and they receive it on Monday; By Tuesday, you may have the next video on the list you sent parked in your mailbox.

(2) I signed up for two videos at a time, hoping to comfortably watch and flip around two series a week. That’s on target too, so my net cost per video will be around a dollar, and possibly less.

(3) The packaging the video is shipped in, which also serves as a return envelope, is easy to use and brilliant in its simplicity. You don’t have to write anything. Simply put the already viewed program in the envelope and leave it with your postman or put it in the nearest mailbox.

(4) The convenience of not facing late fees or having to take your watched videos to stores cannot be overstated. Save gas, time and, of course, money.

(5) Navigating the Netflix site is easy and it is very easy to add a new video to your list or rearrange your priorities for viewing.

Lastly, it’s my pleasure to commend a company that delivers value while reinventing what is an imperfect hobby at best: renting movies or subscribing to movie channels.

This process combines the Internet and postal mail into one convenient package.

So far so good!

My recommendation: Take advantage of Netflix in their trial offer and try it out for yourself.
