Many people don’t know about Prince2 project management. Prince2 project actually stands for projects in controlled environments, which is a project management strategy or method that is called or called second round or iteration of the respective method. The Government Trade Office, which is part of the UK government, owns this trademark. There is a history of this methodology and it is that it was actually called PROMPT2, which was only applied to the IT sector. This too was created and developed by the government. This project management strategy became very popular even outside of the IT sector and was renamed Prince2 in the year 1996. After that, it has become an ideal methodology for doing project management work.

We all know that a particular project is completed according to the different steps involved in PM. Basically, there are seven different steps involved in completing a project.

The first step is considered to be the initial phase in which the team is assigned the particular project. All the details of the project are provided at this stage, which involves the stipulated time that should be taken to complete the project and the way in which all the work should be done. Certain quality standards and norms must be followed while performing the project work and the team is expected to complete the work accordingly. The end result of the project must be achieved in a particular way. The PMO manager is also appointed in this phase, who is supposed to oversee the team and make sure that the job is completed in the right way. Planning for the next step or phase also begins at this level.

After this stage, the real work begins and the team begins to follow the information that was provided in the first phase. They start planning the project by preparing the project plan. They need to take care of factors like quality control and preparing and organizing certain project files. The authority prepares and finalizes the plan before moving on to the next step.

The next step includes steering the project in the right direction. The authority will exercise some control over the project to maintain the quality and standard of the project. They will also prepare certain step plans and processes that will help them if they have to deal with certain contingencies or unexpected problems. All these plans are prepared before moving on to the next phase.

After this stage, certain limits are set for each stage that establishes the way in which the final result should be obtained. If it is not done in the proper way, then some other conclusions are established. The next step includes the delivery of the product in a timely manner and the last stage includes the closure of the project.
