Online Gambling is Legal

The state also regulates poker and issues licenses to operators. This has made it easier for Michigan to launch legal online casinos. States Where Online Gambling is Legal
In May 2018, Michigan voters approved retail and online sports betting, becoming the fourth state to allow all three types of online gambling. Retail sports betting will launch in March 2021, while online sports betting will begin Jan. 22, 2021. In November, New Hampshire will also legalize online sports betting and casino gambling. In early November, DraftKings became the first legal sportsbook in the state. In May 2019, Pennsylvania legalized online poker, while online casino gambling will open in July 2020.
The Department of Justice has not yet decided whether the Wire Act applies to sports betting or any other types of online gaming. Currently, most US states have legalized online horse racing and casino gambling, and more states are following suit. The Department of Justice recently released a legal opinion that the Wire Act only applies to sports betting and other forms of online gaming. So, it is not surprising that the Department of Justice has stepped in to make the laws governing online gambling easier to navigate.
The United States Supreme Court has ruled that online sports betting can now be legal in most states. Since then, Nevada and New Jersey have embraced the practice of online gambling. Since 2013, the Supreme Court has overturned the 1992 Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act and made sports betting legal in those states.
