The flu is definitely here! The good news is that I can help you recover quickly!

As I was running out the door to catch a flight to Central Oregon to visit my parents, sister, and niece, I unfortunately forgot my bottle of Triple Flu Defense. Sure enough, the day after I arrived, my throat was sore and my nose started to run. I immediately began gargling and saltwater nasal rinses. Fortunately I had HMC, EHB and Astra Isatis (three of my favorite cold remedies) on hand, which I swallowed 2-3 of each, every 3-4 hours.

At first I felt exhausted and very congested. So, the stomach flu started. I spent the whole day in bed with a headache, without an ounce of mental or physical energy. The next day I got up, blew my nose a couple of times and that was it! I am back to my usual state! While it’s obviously preferable to avoid the flu (I’ll tell you more about how to do that later), what is usually a lengthy process (even for me) was over in a jiffy.

In addition to the supplements I mentioned above, I had the opportunity to try various immune-boosting therapies, including Therapeutic Touch (I had an amazing massage at the nearby spa), R&R (I had already planned to relax), and heat. /Cold therapy (lots of hot showers, jacuzzis, magic socks and sitting by a hot fire). I didn’t turn on music, but that would have been a great research-based addition, as is having a positive outlook on life.

Eat to prevent the flu!

I think avoiding gluten and dairy made a significant difference. Since my body has not been exposed to these inflammatory foods for a long time, it was much easier for me to recover from the inflammation caused by the virus. Sugar is also minimal in my diet, which allowed my immune system to attack the virus immediately.

Avoid the flu!

The best way to prepare for unavoidable exposure is to avoid food allergens, eat according to your blood type, get 8 hours of rest every night, and exercise regularly. The best product to take is Triple Flu Defense (TFD), a liquid homeopathic remedy created by my colleague, Dr. Nenninger. Take 20 drops once a week during flu season. When you have been exposed (or if you are traveling by plane), take PDT three times a day.
