Considering our large number of over 160 golf courses in the “Michiana” area of Northwest Indiana and Southwest Michigan, we are often too busy talking to and about these wonderful courses to spend much time. to review the products. However, this rare exception also has ties to the Michiana area: the truly one-of-a-kind Divnick Adjustable Golf Club.

Imagine a well-constructed stick that starts at just 17″ long, making the Divnick extremely easy to fit into a gig bag for travel. Once on the course, your Divnick extends to full size (37″, 38.5″ or custom lengths available) with the look and feel of a classic iron. But the Divnick has another unique look, or the “Wait, there’s more…”, it also has an adjustable head that can be quickly adjusted from a putter a driver to a full set of irons and 8 wedges. From there you can also lock into HALF LOFTS to dial in exactly the club/loft needed. In total, the Divnick can provide 34 clubs with the weight of just 1 club.

The Divnick Adjustable Golf Club was invented by Michiana resident Steve Divnick, who was once an instructor at Andrews University in Berrien Springs, Michigan. Divnick started playing golf in 1988 and found it cumbersome to need so many different clubs. This started Divnick on four years of developing and testing a clubhead that could lock into the various lofts found with a conventional set of clubs. He patented the DIVNICK™ Whole-In-One Adjustable Golf Club and now ships it to buyers around the world.

The adjustable clubhead is constructed of 17-4 stainless steel, which is the same material used to make professional metal woods. The Divnick head then locks onto the shaft, providing the response and solid feel you’d find with a traditional club.

During our tests, we compared the Divnick to Titleist irons and TaylorMade woods, so the Divnick had some stiff competition (pardon the pun?).

First, we set up Divnick’s club in the pitching wedge configuration, since that’s where we like to start all of our warmups. On four straight swings, we hit Divnick for 110-115 yards. It’s not bad, and we really liked the flight and feel of the ball.

We then moved the club to the 8-iron position. We hit our target several times in a row. This was surprising considering it was our first time trying the club. Usually, to get a good feel for a particular club, you’ll want two or three outings with it. We found the Divnick to be true in all setups and were also surprised by how easy it is to change clubface loft.

The Divnick club plays well and then can collapse to a very small size. This is perfect for a frequent traveler and those wanting to reduce the number of clubs and weight in their bag… if not the entire bag for a Divnick. But it’s always good to have a driver with a longer shaft than standard with the Divnick on hand. Divnick also has drivers with telescoping handles for those who want to go the distance with travel portability.

When adding terms like “adjustable” or “telescopic” to describe a club, it can be easy to include “trick” as well, but our tests confirm what Golf Magazine also found, the Divnick club is “Solid.” and many professionals seem to agree:

Jason Hadden, Touring Pro: “Hits about 25 yards further than my clubs… It’s fantastic… I highly recommend it…”

Garay Goecke, PGA Pro: “It’s as solid as my $1100 graphite clubs and it hits farther.”

Peter Stacey, PGA Pro: “I’ve been a PGA Registered Golf Professional since 1971. I’ve tried every new golf product over the past 27 years. And nothing has excited me more than the Divnick Adjustable Golf Club. I used this one. club first on the driving range and then on the golf course.I soon found that it will perform the same way as the latest HI-TECH golf equipment I normally use.In fact, this club hits at least 10% more! I can hit high or low, short or long, and the feel is perfect.”
