There is another type of headache called a migraine headache. This type of headache usually begins in adolescence, and the causes can be attributed to the use of alcohol, caffeine or other drugs, neurotransmitters that are changes in the chemical level of the body, coughing, sneezing, dehydration, dental problems such as pain, in teeth or root canal grinding, eating and drinking cold food and drinks, emotional stress, exposure to fumes or gases, eyestrain, fever, high altitude, lower oxygen levels, high blood pressure leading to the hypertension.

Medications can also cause headaches, and many medications fall into this category.

Although not common, a headache can be a sign of a serious illness. When this is the case, the person may notice symptoms such as vomiting, dizziness, or vision changes. Headaches can equally be caused by injuries or diseases such as:

* A head injury.

* brain injury

* skull injury,

* Bleeding in or around the brain,

* Brain tumor, this leads to inflammation within the brain.

* Encephalitis, which is an infection of the brain or the membranes that surround it and the spinal cord.

* Stroke, which is a problem that occurs when the arteries that supply blood to the brain become blocked or burst or become blocked by a blood clot.

* A rupture of blood vessels with bleeding in or around the brain.

HEADACHE AND OTHER HEALTH PROBLEMS:

There are other negative health conditions that can contribute to a headache, and some of them are listed below.

* FIBROMYALGIA: This is a condition that is responsible for widespread pain and tenderness in muscles and soft tissues.

* GLAUCOMA: This is an eye disease that damages the nerves and the back of the eye.

* HYPERTENSION: It is a derivative of arterial hypertension.

*HYPOGLYCEMIA: This is also known as high blood sugar and its twin brother is called HYPOGLYCEMIA which is low blood sugar.

* ARTHRITIS: It is the appearance of lupus, giant cell arthritis and other inflammatory problems.

* Accumulation of wastes in the blood as a result of kidney problems.

* Hypocalcemia, that is, low level of calcium in the blood or excessive activity of the gland that helps control the release of calcium into the blood (hyperparathyroidism)

* LYME DISEASE: This is an infection caused by a bacterium that is transmitted by some types of ticks.

* Anxiety, depression and other mental health problems.

* Preeclampsia, severe high blood pressure that occurs during pregnancy.

* Hyperthyroidism and hypothyroidism.
