Fort Myers has changed dramatically in the last 5 years and there truly has never been a better time to move to Florida’s southwest coast. First of all, prices have never been lower. The two newest and most popular town centers include Gulf Coast Town Center in South Fort Myers, near Florida Gulf Coast University, and Coconut Point, which is in Estero (5-10 south of Fort Myers). Both areas include everything from shopping to state of the art movie theaters, restaurants and even a very active night life. Both areas are unusually large with a Spanish Mediterranean theme. Both have a great bookstore (Barnes and Noble or Borders) and are the perfect place to meet friends for lunch or have a fun evening with friends and family.
