The Advanced Yoga Teacher Training program at Pima College is designed to help students become certified to teach the art of yoga to others. The curriculum is modular, with each module building on the previous one. It is taught over eight months, and consists of two 5-day intensives, plus monthly weekend sessions, homework, and practice sessions. The program is approved by the Yoga Alliance, which requires 90% attendance and full financial status.

The courses are divided into two main parts: a general fitness class and a core class. Each class focuses on an element of yoga, which helps build core strength and flexibility. The course also covers personal safety, activity modifications, and modifications. Some of the classes count for two credits, and repeating them will be allowed with the approval of financial aid and Veterans Affairs. The yoga class consists of key components, essential movements, and a mind-body practice. If you wish to take repeated fitness classes, you can earn up to two credit hours, but you must check with your veteran’s affairs advisor and financial aid office first. The yoga classes will teach you the key components of yoga, essential movements, and personalizing the practice.

The course is taught by a qualified instructor. You must have a personal yoga practice before you can teach the class to others. The instructor will teach the students how to modify the poses for each individual. It will be an opportunity to practice with different levels of experience. You will have the opportunity to teach others how to modify the yoga postures for different individuals. Your students will learn how to adapt the exercises to their individual needs.

The YTT300 program at Pima College offers a combination of study and practice. The course combines the fundamental movements of yoga with the principles of mindfulness, self-reflection, and a holistic approach. YTT300 also prepares students for certification in Yoga Alliance. The course is a continuation of the YTT200 Certification and is a prerequisite for pursuing a degree in Ayurvedic yoga therapy.
