In Monroe, Louisiana, on May 13, 1964, professional bodybuilder Ronnie Coleman was born Ronald Dean Colman. In 1982 he graduated from high school and attended Grambling University, where he received a bachelor’s degree in accounting in 1986. During his college years, he played football for Grambling State University under famed coach Eddie Robinson.

After college, Coleman became a police officer with the Arlington Police Department. Today, Coleman works as a reserve for the same police department. His passion is bodybuilding, where he holds the record for winning Mr. Olympia eight years in a row. He also holds the record for the most IFBB wins, which to date is 26.

Ronnie Coleman was first introduced to competitive bodybuilding by Brain Dobson, owner of Metro Flex Gym in Arlington, Texas. Mr. Texas was Coleman’s debut bodybuilding contest in 1990. He won the overall heavyweight title.

He is 5 feet 11 inches tall and weighs between 230 and 300 depending on the season. She weighs more during the off season. Coleman’s most notable body features are her legs measuring 36 inches around her, her chest measuring 60 inches, and her arms measuring 24 inches around her.

Coleman supports the Inner City Games which was co-founded in 1991 by California Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger. He also continues to enter and win bodybuilding competitions around the world. In 2001, Coleman won the Admiral in the Texas Navy Certificate Award for his remarkable achievements in bodybuilding.

Coleman married Rouaida Christine Achkar in 2007. They have two daughters.

Ronnie Coleman is a bodybuilding icon and is one of the greatest bodybuilders of all time. He announced his plans to compete in the 2010 Mr. Olympia competition.
