At one point or another in our lives we must take a leap. We as human beings have a tendency to analyze things in such detail that we never take a leap of faith. We are always concerned with the outcome, how our action will affect us and our future. As a result of this, we never listen to our hearts and we always use our brains. I insist that one must take the leap and is likely to benefit. And, if something bad happens sadly, you can always count it as a learning experience. Next, I will share with you my personal anecdote of the great leap I took and what I learned.

The first thing that comes to mind before taking any jump is your comfort zone. People don’t like to get out of their comfort zone. I always dreamed of owning a sports car, but the only way I could do it in my early professional career was by selling my house and my adorable Mercedes convertible. And believe me when I tell you that I loved those two possessions very much. But to make my sports car dream come true, I had to sacrifice them both.

So even though my family and friends advised me otherwise; I took the leap and sold my house and my car. I started living in the basement of my office, but ended up buying a 1995 Chevy Van. Apparently it seemed like a big setback.

However, when I wanted to take a tour of the United States, this is where the truck came in handy. I started looking for a companion who could accompany me on my journey and I met a woman named Carole. Once again, my family and friends encouraged me not to trust a complete stranger. However, I took the leap of faith and Carole is now one of my good friends. She and I witnessed the most amazing landscapes and shared many adventures. And, in the end, my life’s dream of visiting California came true on this trip. So it all seemed worth it.

I could say that by taking the leap I have learned a lot and I am more satisfied internally. What I learned was that I had to get out of my comfort zone to experience new adventures. My jump initially seemed lost when I ended up buying a Chevy Van, but the results proved otherwise. I had the opportunity to make my dream of touring the United States come true. And the same is the case with meeting Carole. If I hadn’t taken the leap of trusting her; He may not have had a chance to meet her and find a good friend. So what I recommend is that you step out of your comfort zone and take the leap. Stop worrying about what will happen, just remember that whatever happens, you are strong enough to face it. Once you develop the attitude that you are IN POWER, there will be nothing to stop you from experiencing new horizons and achieving your dream. So trust yourself and take the leap.
