Promote your blog to generate traffic

So what is your ideal plan for affiliate success?

Well, to tell you the absolute truth, there is no single answer to this question, simply because we are all different…

Your tastes, skills, interests, and overall goals will affect how you decide to promote your product or website. The important thing is to find a method that works for you and stick with it.

Did you know that most “affiliate marketers” almost never make more than one sale? That’s crazy. They get frustrated because they don’t make money fast enough, so they give up. It is important to be patient and give the method you choose time to work. Even if you only put in an hour or so a week, you’ll be much better off than you are now.

I would say that the easiest way to get started with internet marketing is to blog. This method is very easy to implement and maintain. WordPress is a great option for a new blogger, but even if you can’t afford hosting or domain names yet, you can still start blogging. Blogger.com is a good option because it’s free and has some great customizable features for its templates.

The best part about blogging is that you can ping your blog on the various search engines and blog directories to let them know when you’ve added new content. Many of those places will then syndicate your content, creating backlinks to your site and a lot of public awareness. Participating in forums specific to your niche is also a good way to drive traffic to your blog. Sign up to 2 or 3 of the top forums and start interacting by posting your own stuff and replying to other members’ posts. Remember to include a link within your post that takes you to your website or blog. Visit big-boards.com or forumurl.com to find forums related to your niche.

I now realize that blogging is not for everyone, but it is free and a good way to get some exposure for your product or website. If you can continually update your blog with quality content, it will start to rank higher in search engines and attract and keep more readers, which in turn will help drive more traffic to your website.

Here are some ping websites you can try:
