The second weekend in June is the annual Walk Against AIDS. This walk has been held every year for 15 years and raises money for AIDS awareness and its cure. It takes place in Theis Park and is open to the public. There is an entrance fee for the walk and all proceeds go to charity.

Visit Theis Park for the annual Rockabilly Festival which takes place the second weekend in July. Rockabilly is one of the earliest forms of Rock and Roll.
